A Climate Declaration is a stand-alone declaration of the global warming potential of a product. A Climate Declaration assists an organisation to better communicate their product’s carbon footprint. It refers to an EPD for full information.
All Australasian EPD’s must include verified data on the global warming potential of their product so there is no additional charge for creating a Climate Declaration.
When an EPD is registered with EPD Australasia, a Climate Declaration may also be registered by request on the registration form.
All Climate Declarations for holders of Australasian EPDs can be found by searching for the term Climate Declaration in the EPD search box.
All EPDs include a verified carbon footprint. Organisations with EPDs independently verified to EN15804 (which includes all EPDs for building and construction products) are also eligible for a streamlined certification process as part of the Australian Government’s Climate Active Carbon Neutral Certification program.
The streamlined certification process is explained in the Technical Guidance Manual which is available here.
