EPD Australasia appoints CEO

Kelly Taylor CEO EPD Australasia

EPD Australasia’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Kelly Taylor as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Kelly has been the Programme Manager since June 2016.

“The appointment of a CEO is another significant milestone for the programme. The recent sharp growth in EPDs registrations and our strengthened financial performance are very positive developments. Kelly has shown exceptional leadership during this period, positioning the programme for further success. The Board and I are confident Kelly is the right person to lead the organisation and we look forward to working with her to build on the strong foundations established over the last 10 years,” said EPD Australasia Chair, John McArthur.

About Kelly Taylor

Kelly has served as the EPD Australasia Programme Manager since June 2016. She has extensive experience in environmental certifications and has worked previously as an Environmental Management System consultant and auditor accredited with Toitu Enviro-Mark NZ, advising on ISO14001, and as an approved assessor for Environmental Choice New Zealand. Kelly has 20 years’ experience in both the public and private sectors in sustainable business. Prior to joining EPD Australasia, Kelly had worked in local government, health, and as an independent consultant and EMS auditor.

EPD Australasia is the leading Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) programme in Australia and New Zealand. Established in 2014 in partnership with The International EPD System – the world’s first EPD Programme – EPD Australasia provides a framework for the independent verification, registration, and publication of EPDs. All EPDs are verified to meet the requirements of the international standard ISO 14025. For building and construction products, EPDs must also comply with the EN15804 best practice standard and ECO Platform standards.

To date, EPD Australasia has registered and published over 500 EPDs for more than 120 small, medium and large businesses across Australia and New Zealand. The International EPD System has published over 10,000 EPDs for products manufactured in more than 50 countries.
