Vegans and vegetarians may want to stop reading but fire up the BBQ as an updated PCR for meat from livestock such as cattle, sheep, pigs, and goats was finalised in October.
An EPD based on the earlier version of this PCR for LOGROS S.A. for beef from cattle grown and slaughtered in Argentina and sold by Logros S.A. to distributors worldwide has recently been published. The environmental impacts were calculated considering the entire production chain starting from the animal’s birth until meat consumption.
The study includes animal production across several Argentinian provinces as well as the impacts from the slaughterhouse, processing, cold storage and meat packing plant located in Río Segundo, Córdoba.
