Exciting changes at EPD Australasia

In June Stephen Mitchell who has served the EPD Australasia board as Chair since May 2017 stepped down from this role as chair to take on a new and important role within the organisation as our Advocacy and Marketing Manager. Many thanks to Stephen for his tireless enthusiasm and expertise in leading the EPD Australasia programme over the last few years. Stephen remains on the board as a director of EPD Australasia.

John McArthur has been appointed as the new Chair of EPD Australasia. John brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this position as John has been a member of the board since the inception of the EPD Australasia programme in 2015. John has also been on the committee of LCANZ since its formation and previously worked on developing LCA and EPD as an employee of Fletcher Building in New Zealand. John now enjoys a semi-retirement whilst running his business The Carbon Shop.

Also new to the team is Andrew D Moore based in Perth as our Technical and Quality Advisor. Andrew is a well-known and respected LCA professional and an existing EPD Australasia verifier. Andrew has been the chairperson of our technical advisory group for a number of years and is now taking on an operational role part-time to further support EPD Australasia into the future.

Finally, Programme Manager Kelly Taylor has been appointed a “suppleant” to the EPD International Board of Directors. This is great recognition of the work of EPD Australasia with the intention that Kelly will work alongside the EPD International board to provide insights from our region to support their international strategy.
