EPD Australasia has been taking time this year to advocate and educate around what EPDs are and their uses, generally spread the word about EPDs as well as promoting our existing published EPDs from our members.
In the last few months we have met with the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation, the Green Building Council of Australia and the Infrastructure Sustainability Council. We have presented at the Australian Sustainable Built Environment Council (ASBEC) and done a webinar on EPDs and embodied carbon. We had a presence at the Green Building Day in Sydney, the Infrastructure Sustainability Council Summit in Auckland and the EMBARK event also in Auckland held to empower businesses to take action on climate change.
We are pleased to see a growing interest in EPDs as a credible way for companies to measure, benchmark and publish environmental impacts. Our members are also finding EPDs a valuable tool for decision makers to help continuously improve their “green” credentials.
