The last two months have seen the publication of three new EPDs spanning a wide variety of industries.
The most recent Australasian EPD was published by Pacific Steel for their SIESMIC Steel Reinforcing Bar, Coil, Rod and Wire which is manufactured at it’s Otahuhu based mill in Auckland, New Zealand.
NXT TEC Ltd published an EPD for the Wyndham LUX Perth Hotel, which showcases the capabilities of the NXT Building System. This represents a world first, as there has never been an EPD published for a complete hotel building. To find out more read our interview with NXT’s CEO Natasha Di Ciano, and our profile of Andrew D Moore, the LCA consultant responsible for developing the EPD.
Downer EDI Rail finalised their EPD for Sydney Growth Trains, a suburban Electric Multiple Unit (EMU), consisting of eight double-deck car bodies. We are very excited to see the growing commitment to EPD development in such a wide range of industries.
