Siniat – Plasterboard
Etex Australia Pty Ltd
Siniat plasterboards are Australian made and suit a wide range of standard applications including internal wall linings and ceilings. Some plasterboards have special capabilities such as water resistance, sound resistance, fire resistance, impact resistance, and mould resistance.
Siniat believes that collaboration between suppliers and manufacturers is key to minimising the impact on people and the environment. That is why the manufacturer has developed the Siniat Opt-in Carbon Neutral Program to assist all stakeholders to achieve their ever-tightening sustainability goals.
This program, certified by Climate Active, is available on a wide range of locally made plasterboard and metal products.
The Siniat sustainability strategy is backed by Etex, who has laid a solid foundation to become a more sustainable global organisation. Its Road to Sustainability 2030 sets clear ambitions for the next eight years across five priority areas: Health, safety and well-being, Customer engagement, Diversity, equity and inclusion, Decarbonisation and Circularity.
This EPD includes data for gypsum plasterboard products conforming to the requirements of AS/NZS 2588:2018. The assessment for these products covers cradle-to-gate Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) with options, modules C1-C4 and module D (A1-A3, C, D and additional modules A4 and A5). ‘Cradle’ refers to the raw material extraction and ‘the gate’ is the gate of the plasterboard manufacturing facility as the product is ready to go out to customers.
