COLORBOND® Coolmax® steel (CMX) is a roofing material designed to provide and maintain high solar reflectance to achieve durable thermal performance and help reduce building temperatures. Manufactured to standards AS 1397:2021 and AS/NZS 2728:2013, it is available exclusively in the colour Whitehaven®. Typical COLORBOND® Coolmax® steel applications are for commercial and industrial roofing.

COLORBOND® Coolmax® steel is manufactured by BlueScope, a provider of innovative steel materials, products, systems and technologies. This Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) provides data for one flat square metre (1 m2) of COLORBOND® Coolmax® steel manufactured by BlueScope in Australia at base metal thicknesses (BMTs) 0.42, 0.48 and 0.55 mm.

The scope of this EPD is from cradle to gate (modules A1-A3), including end of life (modules C1-C4) and reuse, recovery and/or recycling potential (module D). It includes an extension of the modules A1-A3 to provide indicative results for the final rollformed product up to the rollformer gate.
