Barro Group, family owned and operated since 1946, is the leading independent supplier and distributor of premixed concrete, quarry products and a range of associated products. The technical purpose of concrete is to provide a strong and stable foundation or structure for buildings, roads, bridges, dams, and other projects. Concrete is a composite material that is made up of cement, water, and aggregates such as sand, gravel, or crushed rock. Other materials, such as fly ash or slag, may also be added to the mixture to enhance its properties and reduce cement use. When the cement and water are mixed, a chemical reaction occurs, creating a paste that binds the aggregates together. Once the mixture has hardened, it forms a strong and durable material that can be used in a variety of construction applications.
