Waterfront Brisbane – Curtain Wall Façade
John Holland Group
Waterfront Brisbane is Dexus’ $2.5 billion transformation of Eagle Street Pier. It will deliver a global-standard business and tourist destination that aims to maximise its prime riverfront location with enhanced open spaces, amenity and a revitalised premier waterfront dining hub. When complete, the project will comprise two new office towers, a riverfront retail precinct and expanded public space, including the widening of the Riverwalk and new destination dining experiences, including the restored Naldham House. John Holland has been appointed as the Principal Contractor for the construction of Stage 1.
The purpose of this EPD is to quantify the environmental impacts of five different types of curtain wall facade systems which serve occupied areas of Waterfront Brisbane. These facades are manufactured using multiple materials/components such as aluminium extrusions with powder coating, aluminium plates with polyvinylidene fluoride coating, glazing units and terracotta tiles. This is an EPD of multiple products, based on the average results of the product group.
