Laminex® Decorated Medium Density Fibreboard
Laminex AU
Laminex decorated MDF is made by impregnating decorative paper with melamine resin and bonding it under heat and pressure to both sides of a MDF substrate. This EPD covers medium density fibreboard (MDF) products manufactured at the Laminex plant located in Toolara, Queensland, and decorated with Laminex® and Formica® low pressure melamine panels at Toolara, Queensland; Ballarat, Victoria; and Dardanup, Western Australia.
Decorated MDF is a cost-effective solution for structural work such as cabinetry carcasses, doors and panels, and furniture. The product is cut to size, finished with edging and assembled into a final design. The large format range is suitable for taller cabinetry, and retail and office fitouts such as workstations and office furniture.
This document complies with the requirements for a product specific EPD under the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) rating system and the Infrastructure Sustainability (IS) rating scheme of the Infrastructure Sustainability Council for Australia and New Zealand.
The EPD includes Materials Circularity Indicators (MCIs) for the products in this EPD.
