Tait designs and manufactures furniture for A Life Outside including seating, tables, planters, accessories and systems. Since 1992, the business has specialised in outdoor pieces made of premium materials, purpose-designed for challenging environments. Proudly designed and crafted in Melbourne, circularity is embedded into all stages of the process. Products are created to last, with straightforward maintenance, and a refurbishing service extending product lifespan when needed or desired. High recycled content and recycled materials are prioritised. Solar powers much of the production, and recycling programs and partners help reduce impact.

Tait sells direct to consumers and also works with specifiers on commercial projects in workplace, hospitality, public, retail, education, healthcare, senior living and multi-residential settings across Australia. With showrooms in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, Tait’s manufacturing HQ in Melbourne houses significant investment and expertise, enabling a strong degree of customisation when collaborating with design professionals.
