BlueScope – TRUECORE® Steel

TRUECORE® steel is a metallic coated steel product designed to be fabricated into light gauge steel framing specifically for use in residential and commercial structural framing applications. With its distinctive blue finish, TRUECORE® steel is available in G450, G500 and G550 structural grades, and conform to AS 1397:2021 and AS/NZS 1365:1996 (R2016) standards.

This Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) provides data for one flat square metre (1 m2) of TRUECORE ® steel manufactured by BlueScope in Australia at certain base metal thicknesses (BMTs) ranging from 0.42 to 1.60 mm.

The scope of this EPD is from cradle to gate (modules A1-A3), including end of life (modules C1-C4) and reuse, recovery and/or recycling potential (module D). It includes an extension of the modules A1-A3 to provide indicative results for the final formed product (i.e., individual frame components prior to fabrication and assembly).
