1 m³ of Average Earthwise Ready-Mix Concrete from Outwest Concrete

Outwest Concrete is an Australian-owned manufacturer and supplier of ready-mix concrete products, servicing residential, commercial, civil, and infrastructure construction projects across Victoria. The company operates batching facilities at Sunshine North and Hoppers Crossing, producing concrete mixes designed to meet specified structural, durability, and performance requirements in accordance with AS 1379 and AS 3600.

This EPD covers the average Earthwise ready-mix concrete product, declared as 1 m³ of concrete with an average compressive strength of 32 MPa and an average density of 2,300 kg/m³. The declared product represents a production-weighted average of two Earthwise variants manufactured during the reference period (1 July 2024 – 30 June 2025):

• Earthwise 55 – 32 MPa: a ready-mix concrete incorporating supplementary cementitious materials to reduce embodied carbon relative to conventional concrete mixes.
• Earthwise Re-Poly 55 – 32 MPa: an enhanced circularity variant incorporating post-consumer recycled coarse and fine aggregates, together with recycled polymer fibres, reducing reliance on virgin raw materials and supporting circular economy outcomes.

Both variants are manufactured using consistent batching, production, and quality assurance processes. Outwest Concrete’s environmental management practices include optimised mix designs, water recycling systems, returned concrete reprocessing, and responsible raw material sourcing to improve resource efficiency and reduce environmental impacts across production operations.
