EPD Australasia continues to expand, with 16 companies joining the programme and having their first EPDs published between December 2024 the end of April 2025. This growth reflects the increasing recognition of EPDs as a vital tool for business environmental transparency and sustainable procurement.
During the same period, 1064 new EPDs have been published. Most of these continue to be for concrete products, reinforcing the sector’s strong commitment to transparency, particularly in reporting verified embodied carbon footprints. This growth is also driven by rising sustainability requirements in both government and private sector tenders.
EPDs have been published for Australian and New Zealand businesses across a wide variety of construction products, including steel reinforcement products, exit signs, natural sandstone, recycled plastic pellets, bar chairs, brick, blocks, interior acoustic lining, insulated panels, commercial windows, aggregates, recycled content panels, wood panels, bitumen products and more.
With demand for verified environmental data continuing to grow, we look forward to supporting more businesses on their journey towards greater transparency and sustainability.
